What 240 GSM feels like
Most mass-market polos sit around 140–180 GSM. Going to 240 GSM adds yarn per centimetre, which means:
- Less show-through on light colours
- Collar and placket hold structure after wear
- More substantial drape — reads premium on body and on camera
- Slightly warmer; best for India's AC offices, evenings, and travel
Interlock vs piqué
Many polos use piqué knit — a single layer with a textured face. Gutmann uses interlock: two layers of knit locked together. It is smoother on the inside, more stable at seams, and pairs well with Supima's long staples.
